hdrider, my thoughts are in this market, it will be a tough sell unless you are ready to take a beating on the price.
The custom production bikes that normally sell for high 20's are being driven down into the 15-18k range. The buyers are demanding hellacious deals and sand rails are in the same boat. These are discreationary spending items and most banks will not lend for these items except to the top tier members.
Having said that, the key to successfull selling is to get that car in ppl's face. Get that car posted everywhere, with a lot of pics of every detail, the extras, the item's that set your ride apart from all others, the reasons why someone would want your car. Show pics where your car is with other cars in group settings, show the family side of having a buggy, explain the trouble free aspect of the car. Remember, you want the buyer to feel good about the purchase, the buyer wants to share this experience with friends and family and not be known as the loner with a buggy. It is the experience of enjoying the dunes in the relative safety of a buggy and wanting to be with others on the dunes that will help a potential buyer spend the money to purchase one of these cars. Think about it, when you see several buggies parked together on a dune, with everyone talking and laughing, it just naturally brings a warm and fuzzy feeling to those looking at the pic. Want to sell the car, then make it appealing to the entire family. You will then need to get that write up and pics onto sites and places where your car will stand out, such as other venues. Most everyone is on other forums (IE: gun, car, boat, biker, boat sites,,etc, etc). It only takes 1 person an one other site to say "hey, lets get a buggy and that looks like the one we need to bring us closer" or something similar to decide to buy your car.
The other thing is the price. When I went looking, I was looking in the 30-40k range, then backed off quite a bit as I did not want to buy someone else's problems. If you think you are priced fairly, then you will need to show how reliable this car is and why. I called one seller 2 years ago with a car in so cal that said after every major weekend the car went in for maintenance and was about 2k. Nice car, but if that was the maint costs, then no way was I gonna afford that car long term. When I asked why so much, he said to avoid bigger bills down the line this is what it took. Nice car, but not what I was looking for. With your setup, it looks like you have the appealing blend of power, handling, and fun factor all are looking for. Bright yellow does not hurt either.

Ya gotta make the car appealing to the family man who wants a fast fun experience, yet appeal to his lady and family with years of safe fun vacations.

Put together a linky to all the facts and many many pics and let us all help you sell your sand rail. I include the honkershop buggy in my sig's on various sites, and couls also include your linky and Rustys.

It is all about marketing, present the buyer with an appealing product, one he wants to buy, make him feel good about it, at a fair price he can live with, make him proud to show it off, and you will make a sale.

These are just my thoughts.

Good Luck
